What this platform is
Outbid Advertising sells digital ad placements on a persistent, real-money world map. Territories represent a placement within this platform only — they don't confer ownership, possession, or any legal interest in the real-world places they're named after and mapped to. Full mechanics are on the Rules page, which these terms incorporate by reference.
Accounts
You must be 18 or older to create an account. You're responsible for your account's security and for the accuracy of the email and advertiser details you provide. One account per person — accounts used to abuse, defraud, or manipulate the platform may be banned without notice, which ends active sessions immediately.
Payments are real — and you can lose a territory you paid for
Claiming and bidding charge a real card through Stripe. Claiming charges you immediately. Bidding places an authorization hold, captured only if you win the resulting battle — released right away if someone outbids you first.
This is the core mechanic to understand before you pay: owning a territory is never permanent. Anyone can challenge it by bidding at least 5% (or $1, whichever is higher) above its current value. If you're outbid before you counter, you lose the territory — what you already paid is not refunded, since you received the placement for the time you held it. All charges are otherwise final except where required by law or Stripe's own dispute process.
Advertiser content
You're responsible for what you upload — your brand name, website link, logo, and any video. Content must be content you have the right to use, and can't be illegal, fraudulent, or abusive. We can remove content or reset a territory that violates this without refunding the associated charge.
Service provided as-is
This is an actively developed platform. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features, pricing, and limits described on the Rules page may change. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the update.
